I wanted to share something with you. On Tuesday night I went to SBC for the men's group ( now called the Forge).
A few things that come to mind:
1) It reminded me of day when Iron Sharpens Iron with 200-300 men coming together loving on each other and praying for each other. So beautiful!
2) God and his co-labors( leaders-Mike and others) are doing a Spirit filled work at SBC. I have been involved in men’s Bible studies since 2005 because of you/SBC…this is special. I saw many Brothers from the past which was great.
3) Darien your commitment to Christ and men over 30 years ago continues to leave a Jesus filled legacy throughout the valley. The "tentacles" of how you and the ministry have touched so many men, their families, church and community is mind blowing. Only JESUS and ambassadors of Christ.

"Men Coaching Men has been a true blessing in our lives. Every Saturday my husband would go to class and when he would come home, we would eat lunch and discuss what he learned. Throughout the week I would help him study the lessons and our sons would also participate in helping him memorize scripture - it was a family effort to help him succeed. In doing this it helped to grow our relationship with Jesus as a husband and wife, this helped our sons to grow closer to the Lord as well. I saw my husband strengthen his relationship with the Lord and become a better husband and father. Watching him deepen his walk encouraged my son and I to deepen ours as well, I was baptized Veterans Day and our older son decided to be baptized on Easter weekend. With the help of this program, our passion for the Lord has been amplified as a family and we are thankful to Pastor Darien and for the biblically rooted sound doctrine that he taught."

"My husband Alex and I have been together for 13 years, married for 11 years, and have 3 wonderful children together ages 12, 11, and 9. Like most couples, we’ve gone through hardships in our marriage. We didn’t always have a Christ-centered marriage, my husband wasn’t leading our family right, we weren’t living for the Lord, divorce was even considered… but God is good and merciful! We were saved and as God moved in our lives we were connected with Pastor Darien and his wonderful wife Kellie. My husband felt called to become a chaplain and was trained under Pastor Darien’s MCM ministry. It’s been a blessing to see how God has transformed my husband into the man of God he is today. He was pushed, trained, built up, and models what it is to be an ambassador for Christ. He is our leader and minister, he prays for us, our marriage has flourished, and our children are thriving. At his chaplaincy graduation, our oldest son age 12, said he could see himself becoming a chaplain one day. We are grateful for God’s work through this ministry and pray it blesses many others like it’s blessed us."
